I received mine about 2 weeks ago and I am kicking myself for not having done it sooner. I live in Las Vegas and plunging in the summer was problematic with my Ice Barrel. The chiller holds it at a steady 55 degrees and it’s June, when our average outside temperature is around 104. It is truly plug and play.
Quiet and Efficient
I want to tell you that we are very impressed with the performance of the 1/2 HP Penguin Chiller. We are using it to chill and maintain our 110g Lobster Tank and maintain 50 degrees fahrenheit. It only cycles about 10-15% because of the insulation in the tank. It runs so quiet and efficient.
