We have a few brand new custom chillers that were extras from a custom batch we created for a customer. These chillers have a PVC exchanger and 316 Stainless coils. They are very similar to our standard line of water chillers except instead of a titanium coil they have a stainless coil. Not to be confused with our stainless exchanger chillers- those have both a stainless exchanger shell and a stainless coil within that shell, so these custom PVC + Stainless chillers fall in between our two main product lines. They will work for all of the same applications as our standard line of water chillers EXCEPT reef tanks. While 316 stainless is very corrosion resistant in the presence of saltwater, with how sensitive a reef system is the industry standard remains titanium coils
The ½ HP High Efficiency (HE) Water Chiller delivers reliable temperature control with a cooling capacity of 5,750 BTU/hr.
