The majority of chillers returned to us fall into our scratch and dent category because of cosmetic damages during shipping. Even though we use custom fabricated packing and shipping materials, it’s important to realize mishandling a chiller can cause unseen internal damage. Shipping damage is responsible for small cracks or leaks which become apparent once the unit is set up and powered on. Typically, chillers that fall into this category have very little run time on them. Because of this, we consider them to be in “like new condition”. Therefore, they are put into our Scratch & Dent line for resale.

Components on the chiller are checked to make sure you receive a reliable unit that operates trouble-free. Our skilled technicians service and repair each unit prior to rigorously testing them. My 1/2 hp he chiller arrived quick. I set it up and works perfectly its keeping my 100 gallon rdwc system right at 65 down from 85 I couldn’t ask for anything else…. I previously had active aqua they are junk crap… buy a penguin made in the usa and you can tell how well crafted these machines are. Oh last thing if you have questions or need help this company is quick to help with everything.. thanks penguin chillers you rock!
